How to Budget Print T-Shirts At Home

T-Shirt printing can be a very expensive business. Machinery, equipment, and sundries can add up to tens of thousands of pounds. However you don’t need all the equipment of a professional screen printer to print your own t-shirts. What you do need can cost you less than £100, not a bad investment if you have a good idea for a t-shirt.

You will need, a silk screen in a frame, a coating trough, a squeegee, a UV lamp. running water preferably with a hosepipe a portable electric fire and an inkjet printer. The sundries you will need are plasticol ink, acetate paper, photo cure emulsion.

The first step is to prepare the screen by coating it with the photo cure emulsion. You should coat it evenly three times on each side taking of any excess with the coating trough. Then leave to dry horizontally in a dark place you can speed this process up by using a fan heater but be careful not to blow any dust onto the screen and avoid creating any hotspots.

You then need to print your image onto acetate paper creating a positive image using your inkjet printer. The ink should be thick enough to totally block out any light travelling through it. Then place the acetate paper onto the screen and expose under the UV lamp for 30 minutes, this will harden the exposed emulsion to the screen Then take of the acetate and wash the screen with a hosepipe, as you wash the screen the unexposed emulsion will wash off leaving a sharp negative image. Then leave to dry. Once dry you must tape the screen with gummed tape leaving the image and a border around the edge of the image about 12 cm.

Next step is to place the t-shirt on a flat surface I would recommend Fruit Of The Loom. Then place the screen onto the t-shirt ensuring you have your image at the correct height and positioning. Prepare your ink by stirring it rigorously for 3 minutes or until the ink loosens up. Place the ink on the screen and run the squeegee over the image with a firm steady stroke. Remove the screen and you will have a perfectly printed t-shirt. You just need to dry it by holding over your portable electric fire be careful not to get it to close as you don’t want it to burn and there you have your printed t-shirt. The equipment mentioned above should cost you no more that £100 and you should be able to print at least 200 t-shirts with 1 liter of ink.

Because of its beauty, this painting is often woven into a tapestry for homeowners with an eye for art. The painting makes the perfect addition to any home because its colors, while vibrant, are still soothing and pleasing to the eye. It also makes for a fantastic conversation piece. Just imagine your family and friends sipping wine and chatting about this fabulous wall hanging over hors d’oveurs.

Artist Paul Ranson (1864-1909) is the genius behind Apple Tree with Red Fruit, a masterpiece blending Oriental motifs and exotic nuances. Ranson was part of a group of Post-Impressionist artists called Nabise whose subjects often revolved around metaphors and symbols of religious and nature themes. His own paintings, though, focused more on the religious aspect, incorporating noveau prints and Japanese designs. His art, indeed, is a unique mix of the abstract and the representational.

This particular painting of Ranson’s, Apple Tree with Red Fruit, is a fitting example of his style. It features a world of branches resembling human arms, and upon which hang plump, red apples. Despite its clear reference to nature, most art historians agree that the painting is mostly symbolic, and refers more to semi-religious themes rather than a direct attribute to nature. Ranson also created stained glass, pottery and tapestries with the same motif and mostly influenced by Japanese prints and Art Noveau.

Remember that adorable, little kid who used to be on TV a few years ago, the one with the funny-looking stockings? No, not Pippi – Punky! Poor Punky Brewster! She grew up wishing she had Pippi’s “pipsqueaks.”

Remember that adorable, little kid who used to be on TV a few years ago, the one with the funny-looking stockings? No, not Pippi – Punky! Poor Punky Brewster! She grew up wishing she had Pippi’s “pipsqueaks.” Instead, Nature endowed her with a pair that would have been the envy of a herd of bovines. Beautiful Soleil Moon Frye was a tiny little girl with very untiny breasts. Her breasts were so large, in fact, that she underwent breast reduction surgery at the tender age of fifteen. Whereas a large percentage of the feminine gender bemoan their perceived inadequacy in the bosom department, this young woman was only too happy to get rid of hers (well, a good portion of them, anyway). I don’t blame her; I, too, was blessed/cursed (take your pick) with an ample endowment of boobage myself. Yup. Having big “boobs” ain’t what it’s cracked (pardon the pun) up to be. Ask any (honest) full-figured woman. Sure, I got a lot of wolf whistles and I was proud of my curves, too; but still I wished I wasn’t so top-heavy. Too often, it invited the wrong kind of attention, not to mention the backaches, ill-fitting bras, and self-consciousness that came along with them.

Oh, don’t get me wrong; I am very grateful that I have them and that they’re healthy, thank God. But after my kids were born my breasts just seemed to grow larger and heavier, and inevitably, started heading south fast. To add insult to injury, as time went on, I began to develop rashes underneath my breast area which quickly became yeast infections. This certainly was no fun! You see, large breasts can be really high maintenance! So much so that I seriously considered following ‘ol Punky’s example and undergo breast reduction surgery myself. I even went so far as to see a Beverly Hills surgeon and set the date for the operation; but I chickened out at the last minute, instead using the money to add a room to my home (which only goes to show you just how much a boob job can cost).

A major portion of women of all ages and walks of life struggle with large breasts. Struggle, you say? Yes, struggle. For many of us, the weight of the breasts causes sagging (as in my own case) which in turn can cause other problems like perspiration, rashes, and odor.

Women with large breasts encounter issues our smaller-breasted sisters simply don’t have – finding a good, supportive bra probably is the least among those issues. Here are just a few more to consider:

Perspiration/Wetness: A bane for the large-breasted! Over time, the weight of the breasts and the inevitable effects of gravity cause perspiration to get trapped in the crevices underneath the breasts and upper ribcage area because of skin-on-skin contact. Definitely not sexy. Yes, wetness underneath the breasts is a constant concern for the big-busted and not reserved just for the summer months, either. Indoor heating systems and wearing layers of clothing during the winter can exacerbate the buildup of perspiration under the breasts even if it’s freezing outside. Wearing a good support bra cannot always prevent this accumulation of perspiration; and forget about it with underwires. Unless the bra completely lifts the breasts and is made of quality, absorbent material, you will ultimately have that wetness problem. And with perspiration can come embarrassing,

Odor: You can try all kinds of powders and perfumes to combat this issue (I even know of some women who actually put deodorant underneath the breast area) but the best way to combat odor is to get rid of the wetness problem in the first place.

Rashes: This is nothing to take lightly. Rashes hurt! They’re not just itchy; they burn and sting and can be very stinky (odorous and odious). Rashes can be caused by all types of inflammation, causing great discomfort and embarrassment. You should immediately see your doctor should a rash occur to rule out anything serious. Fortunately, most rashes that occur in women with large breasts aren’t really serious but they sure as heck can be uncomfortable.

Many women are forced to use expensive prescription and over-the-counter creams, powders, lotions and pills – or resort to smelly “homemade” bathing solutions of vinegar and water – but these remedies – while offering initial relief – usually only mask the symptoms but do not address the causes of these conditions. As long as the breasts lay on top of the ribcage causing that skin-on-skin contact, no amount of cream, powder or lotion can be truly effective. And after awhile, they stop working altogether because the body starts building up an immunity to them.

I had to find a better solution. My sister, a lactation consultant, told me to wear a cotton bra; but finding a cotton bra that offers decent support is not a simple thing, almost fruitless (or more aptly, fruit-of-the-loom-less). While getting ready for bed one night, feeling miserable and itchy, as usual, I prepared to pull on my favorite nightwear – a big, baggy t-shirt – when I was hit with a sudden epiphany. After glancing at the tagless tag on the t-shirt that said 100% cotton, it dawned on me; the cotton should go under the breasts, not over them. I immediately cut up the t-shirt into strips and tucked one under my breasts, keeping it there throughout the night. The next morning the rash had disappeared. Now the idea of placing cotton cloth in and under areas prone to irritations is not new – nurses in healthcare facilities have long used this as a simple preventative remedy in the care of bedridden patients to help minimize rashes, bedsores, and other like conditions caused by skin rubbing against skin; but I’ll tell you, it was new to me and a God-send! It was such a simple solution that instantly brought me real and lasting comfort!

Yes, from nursing mother to middle-age, women all over suffer at one time or another from skin-on-skin contact discomfort underneath the breasts whether from painful, burning rashes or uncomfortable perspiration build-up. You can do as I did and cut up your old t-shirts. I did that for a long time; but I wanted to do more – to actually create a product that would help women who suffer as I once did. So, after a period of trial and error, I succeeded in creating a breast pad that fits snugly and discreetly underneath the breasts and acts as a shield that effectively prevents skin-on-skin contact.

Whether your breasts could put Dolly Parton to shame or are so perky they make the rest of us want to cry, the real key is acceptance – of yourself and the way God made you. That’s what really counts.

Know the Fabrics to Make Smart Outdoor Clothing Choices

Dressing to survive in the outdoors starts with knowing what fabrics to wear. Different fabrics have radically different properties. Choosing the wrong type, or mixing clothing of different materials, can be disastrous!

Dressing to survive in the outdoors starts with knowing what fabrics to wear. Different fabrics have radically different properties. Choosing the wrong type, or mixing clothing of different materials, can be disastrous!

You may not be able to tell what a garment is made of by looking. A nice, fuzzy, thick 100-percent cotton flannel shirt will be warm and cozy until it gets wet. Then that wet shirt may suck the heat out of your torso and cause hypothermia!

On the other side of the equation is wool. My hands-down favorite in the winter, wool, is generally a bad choice for a desert hike in August. Wool traps heat, and while it provides some UV protection, the material will prevent your body from cooling.
So, the buyer needs to beware.

Before buying any clothing item, read the labels and find out what the material is. Ignore fashion or what’s trendy (I know that’s hard – I have a 14-year-old daughter!), and make your purchase based on the activity and the clothing protection that will be needed.

Here are some common fabric choices:

* Cotton: Depending on where you live, cotton clothing can kill you. Cotton is hydrophilic, meaning it is no good at wicking wetness away from the skin, and can become damp just by being exposed to humidity.

Both of these 100% cotton garments would keep you warm until they got wet. Then, this clothing could become dangerous to wear!

Once wet, cotton feels cold and can lose up to 90 percent of its insulating properties. Wet cotton can wick heat from your body 25 times faster than when it’s dry.

Since I’ve spent a lot of time in the Deep South, my favorite hot weather shirt is a medium-weight, white, 100 percent cotton Navy surplus shirt. The shirt has a collar that can be pulled up to shade my neck, and pockets with flaps and buttons. Cotton also has a reasonable amount of UV protection.

On really hot days in a canoe, a cotton shirt can be soaked with water, and worn to cool you down. On a desert hike, help prevent heat stroke by using a few ounces of water to wet the shirt down. (The water can come from anywhere, including that algae-edged stock tank. The evaporation is what cools you!)

The same properties that make cotton a good choice for hot weather make it a killer in rain, snow and cold.

Typical urban casual garb is probably all cotton: sweat-socks, Hanes or Fruit of the Loom underwear, jeans, tee shirt, flannel shirt and sweatshirt. This outfit may keep you warm in town, but don’t wear it into the back country! Once the cotton gets wet, you could end up in trouble.

Don’t be mislead by the looks and camouflage patterns of 100 percent cotton hunting clothes. These garments my be just what you need for a hot, September dove hunt in Mississippi, but they become cold and clammy when damp or wet, just like anything else made of cotton.

* Polypropylene: This material doesn’t absorb water, so it is a hydrophobic. This makes it a great base layer, since it wicks moisture away from your body. The bad news is that polypropylene melts, so a spark from the campfire may melt holes in your clothing.

* Wool: Where I live in Central Oregon, wool is the standard for six months of the year. A good pair of wool pants and wool socks are the first clothing items we recommend to new Boy Scouts in our troop. For our winter scout excursions, any sort of cotton clothing is strongly discouraged. Jeans are banned.

Wool absorbs moisture, but stays warmer than many other fabrics. Wool is also inherently flame retardant.

* Polyester: This is essentially fabric made from plastic, and it’s good stuff. The material has good insulation and wind-stopping value, and can be made into many different thicknesses.

* Nylon: The fabric is pretty tough and can be used on your outer layer. It doesn’t absorb much moisture, and what does evaporates quickly. It is best used as some sort of windbreaker, to keep your clothing from being compromised by the wind.

* Down: This material is not a fabric, but rather, fluffy feathers stuffed inside a garment or sleeping bag. When dry, down is one of my favorite insulated materials.

But I don’t use a down sleeping bag, and would hesitate wearing a down vest into the back country because of potential moisture problems. When wet, down becomes hydrophilic, and loses virtually all its insulated value. It can be worse than cotton as far as sucking heat away from your body.

In addition, a down sleeping bag or garment is virtually impossible to dry out in the back country, even with a roaring campfire.

Promotional T-Shirts – A Great Marketing Technique

T shirts are one of the most popular types of clothing, and are used by thousands of businesses as a promotional tool. Anyone wearing a t-shirt with your company logo on it becomes a walking billboard for your brand.

T shirts are one of the most popular types of clothing, and are used by thousands of businesses as a promotional tool. Anyone wearing a t-shirt with your company logo on it becomes a walking billboard for your brand. The style that you choose for your promotional t-shirts can have a big effect on their popularity. A comfortable, attractive t-shirt will be worn again and again, increasing the exposure for your company or product far beyond the original event at which it is given. Promotional clothing is a popular way to solidify a corporate image. For example, businessmen wear branded polo shirts on the golf course, whilst young folk sport fleece jackets embroidered with the logos of their favourite products and companies.

The promotional industry does not just focus on clothing though, as there are literally thousands of different promotional items available, all of which have their own uses. You need to think outside the box and consider what your promotional items and products are intended to accomplish. You can purchase promotional products from as little as 12p upwards. All products previously produced as Leather goods can now be made from PU – usually for less than half the price. This produced a temporary boost for UK manufacturers. Promotional products work out far cheaper than other forms of advertising such as radio and print, and usually have a much longer effect.

A common item is the promotional mug. These have been around for years and still prove popular through the whole business community. They are one of the most popular items in the promotional product segment and have become the popular choice owing to the highly beneficial attributes they possess. With mugs, you’ll need to determine your target audience. This will, naturally, change from industry to industry, and will likely also be impacted by the geographic area in which you operate. Printed mugs, with your company’s name printed on it, is a very helpful marketing tool to promote your business among your existing clients and new prospects. The many types of printed mugs and corporate gifts vary and they can range from bell mugs, Cambridge mugs, marrow mugs with company logos on, to promotional Sparta mug.

A safe bet when deciding on promotional products are promotional pens. Unlike t shirts, you do not need to worry about specific sizes, therefore they will suite everyone. Pens are used for writing, marking, sketching, highlighting and even drawing. Printed Promotional pens are cheap. This is definitely their biggest advantage. It is the inexpensive nature of promotional pens that make them a huge hit on the corporate scene. Everyone uses pens, from school children to the professionals who teach them.

If you want to get something a little more high tech, then why not look at promotional USB drives? Promotional USB Flash Drives are hugely successful mainly because they are so useful; users may well put the flash drive onto their key chain and so will be carrying your logo around everywhere they go and associating your company with something very useful. When someone saves files to these USB flash drives, they find that it takes a lot less time than burning them to a CD. Many promotional suppliers have started to specialise only in USB flash drives. These flash drives started off as simple corporate gifts without any branding, before some companies started printing or even engraving logos onto the USB Drives, making it a much better marketing prospect.

What you see is what you get the second time around. President Clinton consummated Free Trade following the elder Bush announcement of the New World Order. The Clintons did their thing and the younger Bush followed doing his thing following in Clintons footsteps. Now we are asked to return to the Clintons’ Land of “is” where Globalization and Free Trade was consummated.

A never ending story continues. Looks like everything has to be repeated over and over again until we get it right. The elder Bush announced the New World Order. President Clinton followed and led the way getting NAFTA and GATT Free Trade agreements passed sealing the fate of the American Workers. Millions lost their jobs while the Clintons chanted Happy Days are here again. President Clinton bombed Iraq on an ongoing basis and started wars in the Balkans to stop ethnic cleansing by doing the very same thing. He also bombed an aspirin factory in Africa just to show his macho image to the world in his “Wag the Dog” wars.

The younger President Bush followed and more of the Free Trade agreements were passed while all eyes were on the wars he started. The USA bombed Iraq for years but we never saw an Iraq plane bomb the USA. However, this did not stop President Bush from acting as if they did. He started his False Crusade with Black Knights- see article here at Ezine Articles. History tells us will over and over again, the U.S. will not win. Just like all the other nations in history who invaded the Middle East, the U.S. will come home and leave things worst than they were before they came.

At the same time more and more Americans drift into the Silent Depression. Millions have lost their jobs due to Free Trade with 39 percent of all over age 45 filing for bankruptcy from 1992 to 2002. ( Latest figures are still not available but most likely the number will grow larger with the Baby Booners on their way to old age.) Let us go back a bit in time and see how this all came about since we are being asked to let Hillary take over. Let us go back to a pivotal year – 1998 and get some examples of what is in store for us now.

Here are some numbers of job losses and a list of employers that closed down back in 1998 when the Clintons were proclaiming a statistical prosperity while millions were getting fired. The stock market thrived for a long time just as it is now based on workers getting fired instead of hired. Today people like Cavuto on Fox News keep telling us this is a good thing and not a bad thing. They hide the fact that the stock market had a trillion dollar loss when the Dot Coms went katput just when Clinton finished his job and Bush took over and the same thing is bound to happen again.

Here are the “good” old days in the Clintons’ Land of “is” based 1998 as an example. This is the list of some of the major jobs losses.

In 1998, Rockwell cuts 3,800 jobs. Boeing and other related supporting companies cut 50,000 workers. LTC lays off 600. Kodak cuts 10,000 jobs. Raytheon cuts 14,000 jobs. TRW cuts 7,500 jobs. Lubrisol cuts 150 jobs. American Greeting cuts hundreds of jobs. Eaton cuts 200 jobs in chip-making operations. Sun liquidated with 2,800 losing their jobs. Hanna trims 260 workers and shuts down plant. Republic cuts 1,400 jobs. Bethlem Steel cuts 750 jobs and closes down operations. Weirton Steel lays off 300 workers.

(In the world of money ) – World Bank cuts 750 workers. Merrill Lynch cuts 3,400 jobs. Chase cuts 90 jobs locally. Huntington Bank cuts 1,000 jobs. Wells Fargo cuts 2,000 jobs.

Toro closes plants and lays off all workers. Texaco, Royal Dutch and Shell cut 4,000 jobs. Ameritech cuts 5,000 more jobs. Carpet Barn closes all its retail outlets. Heinz cuts 390 jobs. Cummins Engines cuts 1,000 jobs. NBC cuts 250 jobs. Toys R US closes 59 sores. Boston Chicken seeks bankruptcy protection. GE shuts New England plants. Goodyears plans more cuts after thousands were fired. BF Goodrich vacates headquarters ending the loss of thousands of jobs. Polaroid cuts 700 jobs. Venator Group closes 570 stores. Consolidated Gas cuts 2,600 jobs. Fruit of the Loom cuts another 5,000 workers and moved factories outside the USA saying they could not afford to pay $8 an hour.

(In the high tech world where we hear about labor shortages ) INTEL cuts 5,000 jobs. Seagate cuts 20,000 jobs. DIGITAL cuts 15,000 jobs in merger with Compaq with company moving factories to China. Packard Belll lays off 1,000- later goes out of business. AST Research cuts hundreds of jobs.
LSI Logic cuts 1,200 jobs. Texas Instruments cuts 3,500 jobs. Gateway cuts 300 workers. Siemens worldwide cuts 60,000 jobs. Cadence cuts 180 engineers. In 1998, more than 250,000 lost their jobs in high tech alone.

Whirpool, Woolworth and International Paper announce thousands of workers will be cut. Scott Paper cuts 11,200 jobs. MCI WorldCom cuts 2,500 jobs. Nabisco cuts 3,100 jobs and closes plants. Pioneer Standard cuts hundreds. Goodrich closes four plants. Advance Lighting cuts 2220 jobs and closes plant. Kellogg cuts 525 salaried workers and 240 temporary workers. Liz Claiborne cuts 400 jobs and shuts down stores. HUFFY cuts 1,000 jobs and closes USA factories. Stanley works cuts 5,000 jobs. BF Goodrich closes down corporate headquarters in Akron Ohio. General Tire has similar situation. BP America closes down headquarters in Cleveland Ohio. Reliance Electric fades away after Rockwell buyout. Even McDonalds cut 525 workers in its Chicago Corporate Offices or about 23 percent of its staff. Weirton Steel idles blast furances. Mr. Gasket eliminates all production jobs and outsources jobs outside the USA.

(Some humor ) Scrabble is set to C-L-O-S-E factory. JUST CLOSEOUTS closes out all stores.

In 1998, Personal Bankruptcies jumped 19 percent to 1.3 million going bankrupt. Business failures surged 16 percent totalling 83,384 business failing.

THIS WAS 1998. There were plenty more jobs lost but these are the only figures we kept in 1998.
During the beginning of the Clinton years around 1992, IBM and AT@T/NCR cut about 250,000 workers
between just these three companies.

There is more and you can not blame the Clintons for all of the following but he and Hillary did nothing to correct the situation during their time in office. More than 700,000 workers lost their jobs and related jobs in the steel industry. More than 400,000 workers lost their jobs in the auto industry.

Here is a list of computer companies that folded surrounding the Clinton years. All of these computer companies are gone with most of them being U.S. manufacturers. ( We stand to be corrected with perhaps some of these companies remaining in part somehow but virtually they are all gone. )
Commodore, Compugraphics, Computer Automation, Computerm, Computone, Condor, Corvus, Data Systems, Delta Data, Datapoint, Four Phrase, Radio Shack Computers, Redactron, Remex, Standard Logic, Sykes, Eagle, General Automation, Redcor, General Computer, Intertel Data, Itek, Ohio Scientific, Novar, Sundance, Sperryrand, Televideo, Mohawk, Leading Edge, ITT, Lobo, Micromation, Modular Comp, Micropolis, Monroe, Nixdorf, Northern Telephone, Ontel, Perkins-Elmer, North Star, Ohio Nuclear-Technicare, Packard Bell, Leeds and Northrup, Pertec, Osborne, Vector, Vista, Vydek, Wango, Wordstream, Zilog, Wells America – (the last micro computer made in the USA ), Zenith, Unisis Mircros, AT&T Micros, Datatron, Datronix, Franklin, Basic FOur, Synon, QDP, Quasar, Star Tech, Tandem, Wang, BTI, Pronto, Rodine, Contel, CTI, Data Design, Data Logic, Datatronics, Heath, Intertek, and this is only a partial list.
We also have on file about a thousand systems houses in a tri-state area that went out of business surrounding the Clinton years.

In Mainframe computers, over a million workers lost their jobs prior and during the Clinton years.
They include Honeywell, GE, Sperry, Univac, Burroughs, Control Data, NCR, RCA, Xerox, IBM ( 150,000 were cut in the early 1990s ) DEC, Data General, Wang and more.

In computer media, 3M sold out to Imation who then laid thousands off. BASF Magnetics closed their US plants and sold this division to Korean company. Like many others, the brand name is the only thing left in the USA. The same applys to Dysan, Memorex and Verbatim.

Electing Hillary as President is like putting the fox in charge of the chicken coop and it history will always verify the fact that it was President Bill Clinton, a Democrat, and Democrat controlled Congress that passed both NAFTA and GATT unfair trade agreements. See more at Tapart News and Art that Talks at http://tapsearch.com/tapartnews/ The dollar’s value is based on the power of the USA and so wars follow accordingly. American shoppers are now “hooked” on cheap imports from around the world. What wars will now follow during Hillary’s time in office?

Read The Confessions of an Economic Hit Man and The Secret History of the American Empire which confirms the fact that Globalization and Free Trade are driven by elite groupings, government and transnational corporations in a stew of a new “ism” of Globalism.
